Mood Board
This Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) was designed to be a space for the clients' mother-in-law to live behind their house, so she could be close to them, but have her own independent living quarters. It includes a bathroom, bedroom and open kitchen, living and dining area. The black, blue and white color scheme with accents of red is fresh and cheerful! The furniture is an eclectic mix of styles that blend together to create a collected look.
Floor Plan
The floor plan for this ADU flows nicely from the front door, which has a small entry space, with the bathroom on the right and the kitchen on the left (where Mom loves to cook). Then, you move into the open space of the dining area (which seats two) and the living room area (where Mom usually sits to read, knit or watch TV). And, last, to the right you move into the bedroom with it's large closet and a sliding glass door leading out to the side patio. There is a small window above the toilet in the bathroom, a larger one above the kitchen sink and another large one in the living room, to let lots of natural light into the space.

Here's a rendering of the bedroom with a similar wrought iron bed and night stands just to give you an idea of spacing. It looks so cute with the navy and white dalmatian print wallpaper we recommended for the wall behind the bed.
